Chorus:
Pirate gold is the devil’s gold,
Such are the stories I have been told.
I sold my soul for the devil’s gold,

Pirate treasure has me in it’s hold,
I spent my days in search of pirate gold.

I signed on board the Black Witch, a pirate ship so bold,
I was promised loot and plunder, pockets full of gold.
We sailed the coastal waters all along the Spanish Main,
Many’s the ship we buccaneered, but no gold did we claim.

- Chorus -

The pirate captain beckoned, a bloody deed to sign,
“You’ll have all the gold you want, but your soul will be mine.”
A darkness overcame me, I understood my fate,
But I lusted for golden doubloons and pieces of eight.

We sailed for richer waters, where ships were laden so,
We took all the gold we wanted ‘til we could hold no more.
But still I plundered onward, a passion burned inside.
I should have headed for calm waters but I hit a changing tide.

- Chorus -

So listen to my story of fraud, deceit and lies,
You may think gold you desire, but let me put you wise.
I was so enchanted by a lustful, demon greed,
I was captured, locked in chains, it’s the hangman’s noose for me.

Chorus:
Pirate gold is the devil’s gold,
Such are the stories I have been told.
I sold my soul for the devil’s gold,

Pirate treasure has me in it’s hold,

I spent my days in search of pirate gold.
