(A note about the Wizard: I wrote this song in February of 1971. Since that time I have performed it in every band that I have played in -
with the exception of my rock 'n' roll band Pegasus. Too bad, I can imagine an electric Wizard that would rock the heavens!
It is probably the most requested song I've had since I wrote it. The amazing thing is that it was not thought out ahead of time,
I just sat down one day and out it poured. Of course, the modulation idea came after I had finished the song. That just made it better.
It was recorded in 1981, in 1987 on Winding Road and later on the Golden Bough Live Reunion Concert DVD in 2005.
Yes, I do intend to record it again! The ideas for arranging this song continue to grow!)
